Introduction

Since most of our family lives some distance away, I thought it might be nice to start a blog on the happenings in our lives. For me this is easier than emailing everyone, and you can check in at a time that is convenient for you and also make comments which we can read to the kids from everyone, so please feel free to leave as many comments as you wish, JD will get a kick out of it! So, I think it's worth a try to see how it works. Hopefully sometime this week I will get a chance to work on some pictures to put up. Since we have high speed internet now it's alot faster downloading pictures to the net! So check back often for updates!

I will start by filling everyone in on this past weekend. I came home to JD having a 105 fever, yes 105, I about had a heart attack. While Jason was phoning the doctor at the local clinic, I was trying to get JD to take some tylenol to start bringing his fever down, well he spit it on me because it made his throat feel like it's on fire. I made a flying trip to Golden to get him to the nearest doctor. The nurse was able to sweet talk him into taking his meds like a good boy. This poor kids eyes were blood shot, his hair was soaked, and his throat hurt him so bad. BUT, when the doctor walked in and said "Hey buddy, I hear you are not feeling so well", JD responded with "My name is NOT buddy, it's JD and I am NOT sick because I ate too much food." He is a riot. He chattered to her the entire time about nothing at all. Come to find out, he had strep throat, oh joy! Thank goodness Madison was on antibiotics for a ear infection so she wouldn't get it, but the rest of us had to be careful. So far knock on wood, we haven't gotten it. JD went to school today and was happy to be back with his friends. This morning before I left for work, he told me I had to stop at Wal Mart because he needed milk, cheese, and a tongue scrubber (we had to throw his tooth brush out and he likes to clean his tongue). So, him having me wrapped around his little finger, I stopped at Wal Mart for his little shopping list. Never saw a kid so happy to get a tongue scrubber, we had to use it immediately! Madison did the cutest thing while JD was sick, she would walk over to him, feel his head, and ask him if he was OK. What a doll! So that was our weekend and I was glad to get things back to normal a little this Monday morning.
